Chris Smalling on the move to Man Utd

I suppose that the money is just too good.

It would be nice to see us holding on to young talent but in the real world an offer for 7m is just too good.

Best of luck Chris

Yes 7 million pound is good money but this is not the only thing we should be looking at here if we are going to seel chris which looks inevitable now it should not be a structured deal as is the norm with transfers it should be a 7 million pound up front payment with future incentives and should also include the 6 month loan signing of fabio as cover for konchesky because quite frankly kallio is utterly useless at left back as was made evident against accrington and should also include a loan signing or permanent transfer of one of their strikers either macheda or owen will let you decide who.

I agree with you tot we need more out of this deal than 7 million. Have to wait to see the final deal but if we sell smalling we lose our most convincing reserve CB which makes are cover there alot weaker. Hopefully Arsenal will make an offer and we can drive the price up. Definitly need to get another left back Kallio has been poor every time ive seen him play

Where'd you get that news from Kev? Are we talking a loan till end of the season for macheda or swap deal?
Looks like smallings sold but we get to keep him till the end of the season. Dont mind too much as long as we spend the money well and improve the squad.
