ok so Heskey looks like he might have to leave villa in january, if he does so we might well be one of the teams in for him as he is the right type of player for our system upfront and is considerable improvement on zamora who for all his work rate is at best dodgy when it comes to taking chances in the air. I reckon we'll probably miss out if Heskey does decide to leave unless there is an absence of interest on the part of a number of other clubs

Exactly what i thought mate when i heard heskey was looking fora move. Ideal replacement for Zamora. Holds up the ball much better than zamora but can score a few goals over the season, and he knows were his head is.

thats a massive coincidence for it to pop up a day later, i think if we could land him for 3.5 then we'd be doing well, especially when you consider how high the transfer values for forwards are at the moment. Only problem for us might be matching his wages? i imagine he's getting a tidy sum for villa at the moment.

yeah - I think that wages are always going to be a problem for Fulham to match. Its amazing what an extra 20k people in the ground each week can do!

it does end up making a massive difference, just look at spurs, that they can afford so much is really frustrating.
