HULL sack Brown

personally i dislike but seems weird after how well they played against Arsenal. Cant see them staying up now. Portsmouth, Hull and Burnley for the drop?

Yeah bit strange, should have got rid of him at christmas or at the end of the season. No one will be able to keep them up with only a few games remaining.

i though pearson would sack him as soon as he came in but its almost as if every time he was preparing to do so Brown would pull a result out of the bag. It has to be said that he did a good job at Hull, odious though he is. Cant see them getting anyone good to replace him but surely they must have someone line dup else why get rid of him. Only person i can think of off hand is Megson.

Good riddance! I can't stand the bloke. I almost hope Hull stay up now.. Er sorry, a self inflicted uppercut has been delivered and I'm ok now. I still hope they go down. :)

I agree Fred i dislike the bloke but still seems the wrong move for Hull. As for those being linked today:
talk of Mark Hughes seems far fetched, he can land a much bigger job than Hull - if he keep them up it wont improve his reputation that much and if they go down it might very well damage it
Terry Venables - maybe if the money was tempting, great coach but i wouldnt trust venables with my money, not that i have any at the moment :(
Ian Dowie - He'd definitly take it, he'd definitly get them relegated, and he'd definitly getted sacked some point next season for failing to get decent results in the Coca Cola. I think he might well get the job
I'd still give Megson a call if i were Hull, not a bad manager and i think he has what it takes to keep them up
If Nicky Barmby was a coach he'd be odds on to get the job, if he stays in the game after hanging up his boots he'll manage Hull in the future, ive met him a couple of times and he's got the same sort of drive as Cookie had

has any one ever mension gareth southgate or alan shearer that can take the job pluss i knew phil brown will be sacked from the start of the season

i think Southgates a pretty good shout, havent seen him linked with it but has to be a better option than Dowie.
Cant see Shearer taking it, he can afford to wait for something bigger and better.
i think everyones been expecting Brown to go, surprised it diidnt happen sooner. He's never got past that episode at half time against Man City.

Yea i heard Jewell mentioned as a candidate today and it wouldnt be a bad appointment, he did a good job at wigan even if Derby was a bit of a catastrophy.
